UNM nu and Fenris had a difference of opinion on the placement of this banner, but both have valid reasons, so copying and pasting UNM nu explaining reasons for both placements as follows:

Banner 207 has a lot to talk about

First off, the difference between @Fenris and me: I would have placed it at X769 Y125 instead of X770 Y128

BUT, I get the differences

He wanted more of a “stronger” connection to the prior banner and more connection to the outpost, while picking up the wood mill, which is why I won’t fight him over this banner (if he didn’t pick up the wood mill I might actually destroy this banner in all honesty)

My arguments against this placement: 1) we already touched outpost with another banner, so touching again does nothing for us unless our other banners are destroyed which I’ll touch on later

2) overlap reduces our potential to claim other resources or just take up more space on the map

3) my location makes it easier to reach those extra resources, although I don’t think we need them at the moment, or ever to be honest

4) Another NAP10 alliance could ask us to remove a banner so they have access to the outpost if we are blocking them

And they get really anal with that removing of our banners based on our past

So in summary, @Fenris is prioritizing having an extra connection to the outpost, kind of blocking other alliances, while I would prioritize us picking up extra land to our territory, positioning to other resources, etc

BUT, since I know what @Fenris is trying to do, and at least picked up the wood mill, I accept his placement of this banner

Does anyone have any questions or feedback based on banner 207, because again, I acknowledge each banner placer is looking at different things; I mostly prioritize land area and resources, which is different than blocking and military purposes
