12/22 - 12/28/2025: 4th place IronI tier

Group Summary: This was an extremely challenging group; getting 4th was a nice finish although our goal will always be 3rd or better. We are 0-3 in match 1, and I'll keep trying different things, but I'll be honest: If we had 60+ participants, we'd be 2-1 instead of 0-3, so our biggest change to win match 1 would be full participation in this event. Match 2 won all 3 flags. I got greedy trying to win all 3 flags in match 3 but in fairness we didn't lose because of analysis but because opponent made major change in adding players to left and right lanes from substitutes in middle lane in prior matches. Match 4 win was really nice because they were really strong and we just beat them with strategy. Match 5 we lost to a superteam that won the whole group.

We went 1-2 against the teams that finished above us. One had over 2 billion power as an alliance, another 1.7 billion, another on our level at 1.1 billion. We advanced a tier regardless of our finish, so let's look forward to the next tier!

Alliance Championship: 12/23/2025 match 1

Result: Lost 1-2: 5/20 us, 5/18 opponent, 1/9 opponent. 11 defeated (11 total).

Notes: TTT 1215, As another random group, went balanced all lanes, slightly weaker right, strong players leading each lane, 20:20:12.

Result: Lost by one player in right lane despite having 3 more players and having balance, so 0-3 in opening matches. Oh well! They used 8:18:9.

Result: Won 3-0: 7/12 us, 2/20 us, 1/20 us. 39 defeated (50 total).

Notes: SQM 1182, Based on first match, 5:20:20, really weak left lane (strongest player 174) and balanced middle & right lanes in an attempt to get all three flags which were taken against them their first match. Our power: 2846: 14950: 15057. Their power first match: 532: 14209: 14347

Result: Tight, but as expected or hoped, we got all 3 flags!

Result: We lost 1-2 so I'll take the blame but at the same time I'll explain how it wasn't a flaw in my analysis, but a change by our opponent. Our opponent had done 10:20:8 both matches before ours. For our match, they took players from their middle lane who were substitutes (not even playing) and shifted them to the left and right lanes. Therefore, we were perfect in getting the middle lane but were outmatched in the left and right lanes as I didn't predict them doing that. We still almost took the left lane (one player short) and I personally chalk it up to bad luck, that they made the adjustment for our match and not the prior two matches. But I got aggressive, wanted 3 flags, so the loss is my fault.

Based on all of this, it actually looks like we have a great chance at 2 of 3 lanes IF our opponent makes zero changes.

Result: Crushed opponent even better than I thought we would (winning both lanes with 2 participants alive). This puts us in 3rd place playing the team in 1st place to close out the group.

Result: Lost 0-3: 14/20 opponent, 1/20 opponent, 8/20 opponent. 19 defeated (134 total).

Notes: IYI 1211, #1 team in the group going into last match. 20:20:20 all matches. First match: 952(3):911(14):930(19). Second match: 964(6):931(19):788(8). Third match: 1024(10):933(20):936(20). Fourth match: 885(8):936(20):965(7). So in summary: 1024(10):936(20):965(7) makes me think we have to try weak:balanced strong:balanced strong to have any chance. We used the following lineup (bottom of page) in match 2 and think we should try it again for match 5.

Result: We had zero chance, lol, completely outmatched and lost all three lanes.
