REGISTERING: MIDDLE LANE ONLY, use buffs (moose) update dispatched troops right before registration lock 23:00 please

EVERYONE: When registering, PLEASE ONLY register for MIDDLE LANE ONLY. I have my reasons as follows: It is widely believed that if all participants register to only one lane, only the top 20 participants' power counts when making "fair" matchups. This results in getting weaker opponents, a better chance of winning, and better rewards. It may seem counterintuitive, that it would be better to balance each lane, but as R5, I can distribute everyone in the middle lane to appropriate lanes during competition to increase our chances of winning.

EXPLANATION OF EVENT: The best way I can put it is this event is a mix of chess and paper-rock-scissors. The chess is being moves ahead of our opponents, but the paper-rock-scissors is that there is some randomness to our matches. For example, in paper-rock-scissors, if you know your opponent would never do rock or paper or scissors back-to-back, you could use that information to beat your opponent on average. Same thing here; if our opponent does random things from event to event, we can only control our side of the equation, but if we can figure out what our opponent might do, we get the advantage as we can counteract.

SOME RESPONSES BASED ON CONVERSATION WITH AIRBOG: I'm so happy some of you are showing true interest in this event and want to help! I want to lead the efforts, as I'm putting in the time reading strategies, watching replays, analyzing our opponents, etc, but I definitely want all the feedback I can get, so thanks AirBog and others!

I believe AirBog was discussing a strategy of weak then strong then weak then strong, in terms of how we align our lanes. In terms of how this event works, that is NOT allowed: You HAVE to start with your weakest player in the lane and end with your strongest.

In terms of AirBog discussing not playing in an event. He is one of the stronger players (#4 power in the lane during time of discussion). Looking at the replay, he is correct, he didn't have to play, I didn't have to play based on my power, because we won that lane so convincingly, we won before it was our time to fight.

Whether you are "offended" because you didn't play, or feel "offended" because I put you in a weak lane (at the time of this typing, the middle lane is composed of our 11 weakest players), DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY. This is a TEAM event. Yes, you get individual rewards for fighting (and winning), but as R5 and leading this event, I'm not paying attention to the individual rewards you might get, but us winning as a team and getting those rewards as a team, which are way better than the individual rewards.

So in closing, please continue to give me input, as I listen! I might not do exactly as you say, based on rules of the game or based on my analysis, but I want to win and you might see something I missed. AirBog, if you feel I am ignoring you in this event by not playing you, thinking you might not even be in a lane, you are mistaken: You are the fourth strongest player in the right lane (as of typing this), and extremely important to that lane. If you don't play, that is a GOOD thing. If I was all about the individual rewards, I would set it up so I fight each match and get individual rewards myself; clearly I am NOT doing that.

In terms of our latest match, we won by our largest margin by doing the following: We had our strongest player (Lord179765386 1173 power) in the left lane, followed by our next SEVEN strongest players in the right lane (kitty sanura1 932 power to Ming Dynasty 709), then balanced out the left and right lanes, making the middle lane extremely weak. I'll add this to the individual match page, but wanted to add here so you all can learn what I'm doing and how we are winning.

Forgot to add about the middle lane: If you are in that lane and it feels like I want you to lose, that is not the case. The game rewards us for winning two out of three lanes, so I'm doing my best to make sure we do that. That might mean that I make one lane extremely weak in the hope of winning the other two lanes. I still want to win the middle lane; you never know, our opponent might make their middle lane weak, too.
