Viking Vengeance:
​
This is an awesome event because it involves a fast pace and all sorts of movement / defenses, from remaining in your town to moving to Plains HQ to moving to other towns and just keeping up with how the Vikings are progressing against us. A nice combination of your own focus and teamwork.

The important thing I want to note:
- Event lasts 40 minutes, so try to help for the whole thing, even if you are on the weaker side and your town gets overrun by Vikings, you can help the alliance by helping our HQ and others.
- In these 40 minutes, 20 attacks will happen as follows:
Waves 1–6: All Members
Wave 7: Online Members
Wave 8–9: All Members
Wave 10: Plains HQ
Waves 11–13: All Members
Wave 14: Online Members
Wave 15–16: All Members
Wave 17: Online Members
Waves 18–19: All Members
Wave 20: Plains HQ

Each wave results in a stronger attack by the Vikings. So my general guidelines would be this:
Stay in your town, defend until you lose twice, which eliminates you from further Viking attacks.
Whether you are eliminated or not, send troops to Plains HQ waves 10 and 20.
Once, eliminated, send troops to players still actively attacked by Vikings as reinforcement.

In essence, the basics are simple (just the three things above: Stay in own town, move to HQ, reinforce other towns), but in the actual event, it gets more complicated, so I'll go over advanced things now.
​
I did read shields DO NOT WORK, so don't even put one up: Your town will likely go on fire, period.
Double-check your barricades in your cities, that your best heroes are allocated there.
DO NOT WASTE GEMS during event, you can stop fires and repair after event.
​
We have never tried this, but this seems popular on the Internet: EMPTY your town and ONLY reinforce others. As far as I know, we have only played defending ourselves THEN defending others.
​
If you are inactive during event, follow the basic rules. BUT, for active players, we should try the following as advanced techniques to try to score more points, hence better rewards:
​
Find players online and start forming teams of two to three players. Inside those teams, send out ALL troops from your city to reinforce the other one or two players, using your LESSER heroes so your stronger heroes remain to defend your own towns.
​
For example, players A, B, and C team up. Player A sends reinforcements to B & C, player B sends reinforcements to A & C, player C sends reinforcements to A & B, all emptying their towns of troops.

Keep your three best defensive heroes at home!
​
DO NOT HEAL DURING EVENT: The reason is as follows: You want your town to remain empty of your own troops, so healing them may reduce the reinforcement points we are trying to get now in this event. I will dispute this internet information in that you can heal, but send out healed troops back to reinforced towns.

We will need to practice these advanced techniques, as we really haven't emphasized them in the past, but like all other events, let's learn, let's grow!

viking strategy no troops at home except archers
step 1 send calvary and troops to 6 alliance members
step 2 send some infantry only troops to HQ
step 3 reinforce those weaker
step 4 defend base with archers only
don't heal at all while troops are out as it sometimes sends them home iv been working on this I'll try it next viking and see but it should double our scoring
