Kingshot: [TSL]TheShadowlands, Kingdom #1213

Alliance Rules:

Mission Statement (have fun)
Prior Announcements (review for prior incidents)
Diplomacy (to review issues with other alliances)
Military Strategy (to review current campaigns)

Basic "3 Strike Rule" for violating rules at [TSL]TheShadowlands:
1st violation: Warning and stern reminder
2nd violation: Demotion of 1 rank for a week
3rd violation: Indefinite removal from [TSL]TheShadowlands

Current violations with reports:
Leomistic: 1st violation (12/26: NAP 10: Attacking unapproved fortress): Violation Report
Neo: 1st violation (12/27: internal: Attacking unapproved outpost): Violation Report
AirBog: 1st violation (12/27: internal: Alliance Etiquette Violations): Violation Report
princess froggy: 1st violation (01/02: All Out: Attacking NAP10 town): Violation Report

The "basic" rules above are a guideline: If you blatantly violate rules with no remorse trying to create problems for our alliance, we will remove you permanently from our alliance on your 1st violation. Rules violations include but are not limited to violating our Mission Statement (making the game not fun for others), NAP10 rules violations, making Diplomacy harder for Lady Kisa Sanura, going against our approved military strategies, not reading our chat, daily announcements, or anything that goes against what the alliance stands for and is trying to achieve.

Alliance Etiquette:

I wasn't going to add this content but it seems needed in our alliance. We have so many different kinds of people in our alliance, from different cultures, languages, backgrounds, you name it, so a quick discussion on how you are expected to act in our alliance might be good for everyone.

In general, I want you to be yourself. TSL should be an alliance where you can share part of your life with us if you want, or just come and play and have fun! Say things (that aren't truly offensive), be yourself, unwind, be a part of a truly unique and incredible team at TSL.

BUT, with that said, there are some mannerisms that need to be addressed. And I'll start with helping other players in the alliance. I think trying to help others, especially newer players or uneducated players, learn how to play the game better, that's a wonderful thing for the alliance as well as the individuals teaching and learning. I was a tutor for over 12 years so I completely get that from a personal perspective!

BUT, you must be respectful in the way you try to teach / help others. First of all, any abusive language, such as insulting players in the alliance who don't listen to your advice, might not result in a warning (although in certain cases it most definitely would warrant a violation per our Alliance Rules), but you will be talked to about your behavior.

While giving advice, posting guides, typing tips, etc, while all of that is appreciated in our chat, our members are not required to follow your advice. And unless people not following your advice results in serious problems to our members or the kingdom, then you must tolerate that. Some people are never going to be as good at bear trap as you are, or in terror rallies, or in certain events we play.

And we embrace that at TSL. Our number one rule: Have fun. Period. If someone isn't using the best bear strategy in the world but enjoys playing bear trap, DO NOT CRITICIZE THEM. If someone hasn't fixed their auto join to your liking, kick them from your rally to help you succeed. You can politely ask them to fix it moving forward, but don't belittle others, especially newer players who might not have as strong of troops as you have.

Also, don't criticize the way others play, especially when they are successful! There have been times when rallies have been criticized even when successful. A helpful tip: If you have weaker / newer players in your rallies and succeed, you are helping those players advance quicker, which helps themselves and the whole alliance. Think about that!

I better not get too preachy, but let me know what should be added here (to web page) and I'll add specific things that need to be addressed. Go play Kingshot and HAVE FUN!
